The Oath of a Naturopath

The following is the oath I took as a Naturopath:

I dedicate myself to the service of humanity as a practitioner of the art and science of Naturopathy.

I will honor my teachers and all who have preserved and developed this knowledge and dedicate myself to supporting the growth and evolution of Naturopathy.

I will endeavor to continually improve my abilities as a healer through study, reflection, and genuine concern for humanity.

I will impart knowledge of the advanced healing arts to dedicated colleagues and students.

Through precept, lecture, and example, I will assist and encourage others to strengthen their health, reduce risks for disease, and preserve life for our planet, f

or ourselves, our families, and future generations.

According to my best ability and judgment, I will use methods of treatment which follow the principles of Naturopathy.

First of all, do no harm.

Practice the healing power of nature.

Treat the root causes of disease.

Treat the whole person.

Prevent always as it is better than to attempt to cure.

I will conduct my life and the practice of Naturopathy with care, with vigilance, integrity, and freedom from prejudice.

I will abstain from voluntary acts of injustice and corruption,

I will keep confidential whatever I am privileged to witness, whether professionally or privately, that which should not be divulged.

With my whole heart, before this gathering of witnesses, as a Naturopath, I pledge to remain true to this oath, so help me God.

Understanding the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

Organ Clock

Herbal medicine and book on wooden table background

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the Organ Clock is a concept that maps the rhythmic flow of vital energy, or Qi,

throughout the body over a 24-hour cycle. This ancient wisdom reveals the connection between our energy levels

and the functioning of our organs, guided by the principles of Yin and Yang.

Time and Energy Flow:

The 24-hour day is divided into 12 two-hour intervals, each associated

with a specific organ and its corresponding meridian channels.Energy circulates through the organs,

reaching its peak in a particular organ during

its designated two-hour period.

Yin and Yang Harmony:

Reflects the balance between Yin (restful, restorative) and Yang (active, dynamic) energies.

Each organ system has its peak energy flow during its two-hour period,

contributing to a harmonious balance between Yin and Yang.

Emotional and Physical Aspects:

TCM associates specific emotions and activities with each organ system's time period.

Example: The Liver meridian is most active from 1 AM to 3 AM, linked to activities

like detoxification and processing emotions related to anger.

Personalized Health Insights:

Understanding your individual Organ Clock provides insights into energy patterns and

potential imbalances.Align daily activities, self-care practices, and

meals to support optimal energy flow.

Balancing Practices:

TCM practitioners may recommend lifestyle adjustments, acupuncture, herbal remedies,

or Qi-enhancing exercises to address imbalances. Tailoring practices to specific organ

times contributes to overall well-being.

Integration with Holistic Wellness:

The Organ Clock integrates physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of health.

Respecting natural rhythms empowers individuals to enhance overall

well-being and promote a harmonious balance in daily life.

Understanding your personal Organ Clock allows you to make informed

choices supporting your body's natural rhythms,

contributing to a more balanced and energized life.
